Rock Bridge State Memorial State Park has been around for 50 years providing an excellent place for people to enjoy themselves with hiking and bicycling in a beautiful environment that includes a large cave system with a rock bridge, sinkholes and an underground stream. On Saturday, November 4th, you can celebrate this wonderful park at their 50th anniversary celebration.
Come out between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. for music, food, a scavenger hunt, tours and history. During the event, you can meet the parks founders’ and their family and view two PowerPoint presentations highlight important people in the history of the park and the natural resources that can be found in the park. You will also be able to take park in tours of Connor’s Cove, hikes to Coyote Bluff and visits to the Hickam Log Cabin.
Music will also be performed by Pippa Letsky, Anna Duff, The Calvin Street Band and Banastre Tarleton. Big O Tires will provide free food including hamburgers, hot dogs, chili, chips and cold drinks. McDonald’s will provide hot beverages.
Keep your eyes open just in case Bigfoot decides to come to the party.
