Take a step back in time with the 39th Annual Heritage Festival and Craft Show. Held at Nifong Park, this two-day event showcases traditional trades from history with skilled artisans demonstrating lost talents, such as blacksmithing and butter-churning.
The event will be held on Saturday and Sunday, September 17 and 18, 2016 from 10 am to 5 pm. Bring the kids for fun in the children’s area with rope making, candle dipping and more. They can walk around on stilts, milk the cow and hunt for candy in the haystack. The entire family will enjoy a hayride, petting area and entertainment. There’s also delicious food and the opportunity to visit several historic buildings on-site. This event is free for everyone and close parking as well as shuttles bringing people from the Gans Creek Recreation Area. For more information, visit the Columbia Parks and Recreation website.
