This beloved classic is brought to MU Theatre this summer in a musical adaptation of the well-known story by Mark Twain. Developed by Laura Eason, the story is directed by Dr. Matt Salitzberg and opens July 15th.
The play tells the story of Tom Sawyer, his best friend Huckleberry Finn, and his girl Becky Thatcher and a summer they spend together along the banks of the Missouri River. Everyone familiar with the story will love to see the humor and adventure come to life. Those who aren’t acquainted with the mischief-makers and first love between Tom and Becky will enjoy the introduction they receive at Rynsburger Theater.
