If gourmet cooking, entertaining, kitchen décor and state-of-the-art kitchen design and function interest you, don’t miss Kitchens in Bloom this Sunday. This event features a five-home self-guided tour of outstanding homes in Columbia with newly imagined and designed kitchens. These five beautiful kitchens are available for close inspection by the public, are newly remodeled, redesigned, specialized, and beautiful to see.
If you enjoy HGTV, you’re sure to enjoy this opportunity to browse the best and most beautiful kitchens in Columbia, and furthermore, some of the designers and contractors who created them will be available to provide more information and answer questions during the tour.
Proceeds from this event provide a critical source of aid for Services for Independent Living, the non-profit community organization of Boone County Council on Aging. Financial aid and support enables persons with disabilities the possibility of continuing to live independently. The persons who may benefit from this tour simply wish to be able to maintain the freedom and dignity of living independently as members of the community.
Services for Independent Living is an award-winning organization cited by the Mayor of Columbia for their efforts toward sustainability of the environment. The mission of SIL is to aid disabled persons to change the perception of disability through their efforts to provide them with the means to continue as independent and productive citizens.
This is the tenth year of the Kitchens in Bloom tour, which has previously been recognized by Inside Columbia magazine, and annually draws some 300 attendees. This is a wonderful way to spend a weekend afternoon, while benefitting deserving members of the Columbia community.
