Columbia Mall will be the site of the Home Show and Pop-Up Shops this weekend. The concept of “pop-up” or “flash retailing” has definitely caught on and provided shoppers a venue for introductions to new businesses and crafts. Around 20 vendors and crafters will use temporary displays at the Mall to introduce their products, crafts, and craft-related information.
The concept has also provided a viable means for home crafters to feature their creations and products without a large investment in brick and mortar permanent sites. On-line marketers have discovered a method to provide hands-on inspection of goods normally marketed virtually only, which affords entrepreneurs and customers the added advantage of increased security and knowledge in purchasing and marketing. Many customers are reluctant to purchase big-ticket products with a hefty price tag from on-line inspection only.
The Columbia Home Show and Pop-Up Shops present information and access to potential one-of-a-kind products and crafts otherwise likely confined to smaller niche-interest markets. Even if one does not purchase products, there is also the added feature of information regarding design and crafting, and a possible introduction to businesses for future interest. Some 30,000 in attendance each year provide plenty of exposure for vendors.
Don’t miss this opportunity to find that product or design you’ve been searching for; be sure to check out the show at Columbia Mall. The entire family will enjoy this event.
