MO Fest 2016 starts off Friday, January 8, 2016 at two venues- the Blue Note, at 17 N 9th St. hosts Funk and Rock, while the Rose Music Hall at 1013 Park Avenue hosts Country and Bluegrass. On Friday the 8th, the Funk Fest at the Blue Note begins at 9 PM, while Country Fest begins at the Rose Music Hall at the same time, with doors opening at 8 PM for each.
On Saturday January 9, 2016, the venues host the Bluegrass Fest at Rose Music Hall, 9 PM, and the Rock Fest at the Blue Note, same time. Some of these attractions sold out last year at the inaugural events. Each festival is reasonably priced at $5 per person, enabling an entire family of four admission for $20! A real bargain for music lovers and any family entertainment.
The Missouri Ozarks pride themselves with having historically been associated with Bluegrass, Folk and Country music, while the Columbia urban and University centers have supported blues, rock and funk, so there is something for most everyone here. Families are welcome to all.
MO Fest 2016 continues for a second weekend on January 15th and 16th with the Missouri Blues Fest at the Blue Note on Friday night and the Folk Music Fest at Rose Music Hall on Saturday night.
